Question
How would I go about transfering a file made in CS2 to CS3?
& is the operation different if it's from a PC to a MAC, or vice versa? thanks in advance.

Answer
Hi Lucy,

You don't have to do a thing in order to open a CS2 file in CS3... Mac or PC.

BUT to open a CS3 file in CS2 (the reverse), you need to Save the CS3 file as a legacy version... Choose Save As, give it a name and choose AI for the type, click Save. On the next screen, choose CS2 from the drop down list at the top - that's all there is to it!

Good luck!

Expertise

I can help troubleshoot your Illustrator 9 through CS3 (and most CS4) problems and suggest the best way to get the results you need. Although I can help with some installation issues, my forte is prepress and how to use the tools and functions in the application itself.

I've been a graphic artist for over 20 years. Oh my God, 20 years.
