Question
hi, i am working with Adobe Illustrator CS3 and i ahve a 19 inch widescreen lcd monitor. Because of the way the resolution is set in wondows, when i create a square in Illustrator, (or any object) its more narrower that it should be, looks like a rectangle. is there any way to get it to look normal, maybe a setting to tell adobe cs3 i have a widescreen monitor?
thanks

Answer
Hi Theo,

I have a wide screen monitor and have no problems like you describe. I would suggest maybe playing with the different screen modes in your Windows or Mac Display properties. In Windows, open the Display Control Panel and choose a mode like 1440 x 900.

Hope this helps!

I can help troubleshoot your Illustrator 9 through CS3 (and most CS4) problems and suggest the best way to get the results you need. Although I can help with some installation issues, my forte is prepress and how to use the tools and functions in the application itself.
