Hello, I'm wanting to learn how to create logos for my customers and do text for copy. I have a advertising promotions company which requires most art to be done with illistrator ( PDF and Victor )
Can you please help me with what software I need to get started with this. I think it could be fun.

Hi Mike.

You'd probably be able to get started with buying a copy of Adobe Illustrator CS3, which can generate PDFs and vector artwork. If you can afford to buy the entire creative suite with PhotoShop and InDesign, you should. Down the road, you will find yourself in need of PhotoShop, especially, and InDesign eventually.

Illustrator is not an easy program to learn if you are just beginning and know nothing about the print process. So I recommend either taking an Illustrator class or buying a tutorial-type book.
