Question
i have imported a picture into illustrator and i would like to change the colour without having grainy or holes within the colours. I cant get solid colours. Also i cant get rid of the writing that is on the picture.

Hi caitlin,

Complex image manipulation like you are describing cannot be done in Illustrator. You need to first play with the image in PhotoShop or some other image editing software. Illustrator CS2/3 do have some tools for editing image colors globally (Live Paint function), but for things that require painting/erasing pixel by pixel, you should use PhotoShop.
