Adobe Illustrator/Having a conflict with Norton Anti-Virus

Question
I am getting a flickering pointer constantly in Illustrator 9.0. I use Windows 2000. I had this problem before and found out that it was a conflict with Norton Anti-Virus. I recently reinstalled Norton and am getting the problem all over again. I forgot what I did to fix it the first time. I do remember putting something in the "Exclusions" under the "Norton Protection" tab in the Norton Protected Recycle Bin Properties.

Answer
Ah yes, this one.  I went through this, too.

Turn off the Norton Undelete feature - now called Norton Recycle Bin Protection or exclude *.LST files from the protection. I'd turn it off - it's such a pain.  With the size of hard drives these days, who throws stuff away anymore??!?!?  =)

I think that was it.  If not, let me know.

Expertise

I can help troubleshoot your Illustrator 9 through CS3 (and most CS4) problems and suggest the best way to get the results you need. Although I can help with some installation issues, my forte is prepress and how to use the tools and functions in the application itself.

Experience

I've been a graphic artist for over 20 years. Oh my God, 20 years.
