hi amy! my crop tool looks as though it is working but the "save to web" totally ignores the crop area and shows the whole art board! any suggestions? thanks!

Hi Carolyn.

Hmmm.  That's odd.

First of all, make sure that in the save to web dialog, under the Image Size tab, you have NOT checked the little [ ] Clip to Artboard box.

If that does not work, you might just need to refresh your Adobe Illustrator preferences.
1 - Quit AI
2 - Locate and delete the AIprefs file on your computer
3 - Restart AI. The prefs file will be recreated and all of your settings will be back to factory default. If you prefer, you can move the AIprefs file to the desktop instead of deleting it. This way, if the problem is not fixed, you can simply QUIT AI again and move the AIPrefs file back to its original location, overwriting the new file that will have been created.
