Adobe Illustrator/disregard last question
Expert: Amy - 4/21/2006
QuestionI am sorry, I think I just figured it out and converted it to cmky and it worked.
But since I am here I might as well ask you another question.
How do you make text have 2 or 3 strokes. I know you can technically do only one stroke but what effect or filler would you use if you wanted 2 or 3 colors on text (sort of like a stroke on a stroke).
AnswerHelloo Teresa!
I will disregard that last q - glad you figured it out. I have to reply to it, though, so you'll see some form of reply.
As far as strokes - YES It is possible to have many strokes on one object.
Here's how:
1 - Select object
2 - Select View Appearance (Shift + F6) from Window menu.
Your version of AI might put Appearances under some
other name - not sure. I think it's still called
Appearances.
3 - Click on the little arrow on the top right of the
Appearances menu
4 - Choose "Add Stroke"
5 - Choose it again.
6 - In the Appearances Window, select the top-most "Stroke"
entry. Assign it the color and thickness you desire
using the regular old Stroke (F10) menu and color
palette, etc.
7 - Repeat for another Stroke entry.
8 - Now think of the items in the Appearances Window as
Layers. They can be dragged to the top of the list
to place them in front of the other strokes or at the
bottom of the list to place them in the back.
Let me know if this isn't enough info for you - but this
should get you started!
