Question
hey amy! sorry 2 bother with another question! u helped so much last time! so here i am again.. anyway i am trying to save my work as an eps file so i can send to the printers and my work is embeded photographs all gridded together and i have them spilling over the orignial size lines so that the printers have no 'bleeding' troubles. when i am saving a messsage comes up and tells me that it cannot save cos the images are falling off the side and wud b lost..what can i do from here? so i can save as eps and still have a little bit extra over the side for bleeding, i have tried retangles around the whole work and 'making' but still no hope and have even tried selecting all, control 7 thing. thanku for your time thanks jenna

Answer
Hi Jenna.

In CS, I think you need to change the size of the artboard (document setup) so that it holds all your images. Then create a box for the trim line, select it and choose Object > Crop Area > Make.

Save as EPS and ask the printer to honor the crop marks.

Should work!

Expertise

I can help troubleshoot your Illustrator 9 through CS3 (and most CS4) problems and suggest the best way to get the results you need. Although I can help with some installation issues, my forte is prepress and how to use the tools and functions in the application itself.

Experience

I've been a graphic artist for over 20 years. Oh my God, 20 years.
