For some reason my custom option in illustrator is gray-and not an option to
select. My printer is an epson 1280 and i am working in illustrator CS2. I am
tring to print 5.3125" x 7.625". thanks for your help!!

Hi Jenn,

I think you are talking about Custom page size, correct?

Try throwing away your preferences and your print setups.

Quit AI
Locate the files AIprefs and Print Presets and move them to the desktop.
Restart Illustrator and try again.

If this fixes it, you can delete the files from the desktop.
If this doesn't fix it, quit AI again and move those files back. You will need to overwrite the replacement files that were just created.

The other suggestion I have is to take a look at your printer's settings outside of Illustrator. Don't know if you're Mac or PC, but access the printer settings through your chooser or your Start menu... see if you can create a new page size that way?
