Adobe Illustrator/saving back option

Question
Dear Sir,
I have a problem in saving my Illustrator CS1 files to earlier versions eg. ver 10, 9, 8.. Cud u please guide me to solve this? I am working on PC platform.

Hi Rao,

You are not alone on this.  I know a few people who had this problem.  Here's what you do.  Begin by going to the file pull down menu.
Go to File> Export> Legacy AI or EPS.  Once you select Either Legacy option it will prompt you to select one of the earlier versions.
This should work for you PC or Mac.
