Adobe Illustrator/text into hyperlink

Question
How can I add a hyperlink to the text in my illustrator file? and if this is possible can I save this file into a pdf and still have that hyperlink active?

Hi Emma.

I don't believe this can be done in AI... you'd have to add the link in Acrobat Pro editing mode, if you have it.

I could be wrong since I do not have CS and this is something they may have added. I'll keep looking for you.
