Adobe InDesign/Conversion back to earlier Indesign
Expert: Candice Anderson - 1/29/2008
QuestionHi, you answered a similar question recently, how to open an InDesign CS3
document in InDesign CS2. I created a document in InDesign CS2 at my dads,
then tried to open it in CS2 at work (both of these Macs OSX), where it had
problems opening -the error comes up: 'Please upgrade your plug-ins to
their latest versions or upgrade to the latest version of Indesign.' As the file
opens fine on my dads computer I wondered whether I could open it there
then save the file as an earlier version: Indesign 2.0.1, as I have that on my
computer. It might open after conversion to that one then I could work on it
at home. Is this possible, as Im really stuck at the moment? And any clues
about the plug-in problem?
Thankyou!

must export the InDesign CS3 document to the InDesign Interchange (INX)
format and make sure that the computer running InDesign CS2 is updated
with the appropriate plug-ins.
Answerhey,
1. This is really really hard to understand
2. so...you and your dad have the same program, but his might be a little older (both of you are on CS2?)
he just needs to upload. It's his problem, not yours.
if you want to save as a .inx, you can do that too ;)
