Adobe InDesign/trifold brochure

Question
I am creating an A4 trifold brochure for a school and on my first test print it was all budged up towards the right side of the paper meaning that the folds weren't aligned. I set up the A4 page with three columns with a gutter of .5". Is this a problem with the margins, bleed and slug, the printer or me just being really lame? This is the first thing I have done with InDesign and all the advice I can find pertains to letter sized paper.
An advice would be gratefully received.

Answer
couple of things

it's you, but a small part :)  - in the setup tab, make sure you center it.

it's also the printer: Assuming it's like every other printer out there, you can't align your brochure perfectly and everything shifts a little. (I don't know why).

If you have printer that will let you bleed to the edges, use that option. If not, a professional printer can also do it.

If you have a Printing Dept. like my school ask and see what they say to do, they may have a free reccomendation
