Question
i am designing a spreads for book pages. why are these floating in a huge white space with what appears to be a 'page separation' between each spread. it means i have to scroll down miles to get to the next set of pages. cant find anything that will change this view?

Answer
Jackie,

those large floating spaces of white is called the pasteboard. The purpose of the pastedboard is to put your work in progress that you don't want to print. There really is no way to easily control the size of your pasteboard. Try using the pages panel to navigate between pages.
