Adobe InDesign/InDesign Rules problem

Question
I am having a problem with a document I am working on in InDesign. I did
not set it up originally, but am making corrections on it while the original
designer is away on maternity leave. My problem is with rules set up under
text. I cannot see anywhere they are set up in the formatting. They are not
paragraph rules above or below and they are not underlines, but they are
there so I know they must be some formatting option that I am not aware of.
I can paste copy into the entire paragraph and get the same color rule under
the type but I cannot find anywhere that formatting is applied. Can you help
me with this?

Thanks,

Answer
Hi Derek,

The only thing I can think of, if they aren't rules or underlines, would be dynamic spelling indicators.
Go to Edit>Spelling and uncheck dynamic spelling and see if they go away.

Hope this helps,
