Adobe InDesign/converting Pagemaker documents to InDesign

Question
Hi. I previously used Pagemaker 6.5 and have MANY documents created in that format. Now I use InDesign CS2 and while Pagemaker was still installed on my computer I had no problem opening Pagemaker documents with InDesign. Recently I got a new computer and do not have access to Pagemaker software. Without the Pagemaker software, I am unable to open any Pagemaker documents with InDesign. Instead, I get an error message saying the document has been damaged and cannot open.  Can you help me?

Answer
Are you on a PC?
Do you have service pack 3 on it (and if you are on a new computer, my guess is yes)?
Are you on Indesign 2?

let me know if this is not the case. Either way, and I know how bad this sounds, you really need to save your Pagemaker files as Indesign. Pagemaker, as much as I loved it, is now obsolete.
