Adobe InDesign/Default font
Expert: Candice Anderson - 2/24/2008
QuestionI had asked how to change the default font and I received your reply which
contained the following:
Because press the text tool
change the font
then start typing
do this whenever you want to change your font to something else and
Indesign will usually leave the font at your last change.
InDesign is not leaving the last used change, which is what triggered my
question. The font for each new text block starts with Zapfino font. I want all
text to start with Palatino regular. So, I would like my default font to be
Palatino. Tnx Tony
Answerone, sorry about the bad English, I was talking and typing at the same time :)
two:
Press the text tool on the tool bar. Do nothing else yet.
In the menu bar where the fonts are located - where it says Zaphino - type in Palatino.
Start typing by dragging a box onto your canvas.
Seriously, it's that easy. What you are doing right now is you are making the text box first, THEN selecting your font. Don't do that.
