Adobe InDesign/Missing plug-ins when opening doc

Question
I received an InDesign CS3 document from a client, but when I try to open the file, it tells me that a plug-in is missing and therefore will not open. Any suggestions, other than calling the client and asking for a new file or for them to save it as an interchange file?

Answer
Gabriel,

Is the client using a particular plugin? If so, you may be missing something important for that file (like being linked to a database).

What plugin are you missing? If you are not able to even open the document, there is not much you can. You may have to have them resave it and send it again as an interchange file.
