Subject: coping from Indesign to Word

Question
often need to copy/paste text from indesign cs2 inito word or elsewhere. I used to be able to do this, but suddenly it stopped. when I copy from indesign and try to paste into word or other apps, nothing happens. This never happens in any other program is something locked? Thanks!!!

Answer
Yvonne,

You should be able to copy/paste from ID to any app you want, as long as you are only coping text. If you are selecting a text frame, this will not work. You can only select text and copy, then paste in another program. If it is not working for you, it might be an OS issue (mac or windows). Try running an update for your os to patch any outstanding issues.
