Adobe InDesign/text moves when I create outlines

Question
Every time I create outlines for text in InDesign, my text shifts ever so slightly, to the point where I often have to readjust the text frame ever so slightly to get the text to reappear.  This has been a minor annoyance, but nothing major thus far.  Today, however, I was working with text on a path.  I had kerned it just right (it had to be spaced out just so), everything looked great, then I hit create outlines and the text shifted completely, ruining all my hard work!  What is going wrong, and how can I fix it?  Thanks in advance :)  (I am running InDesign CS, btw)

I have not had a problem with my text shifting when I have created outlines before. This may be due the older version of ID that you are using. You can try updating ID to version 3.0.1. This free update my fix your problem, but you may need to upgrade to a newer version, such as CS3 in order to fix this issue.
