Subject: Change Default Font

Question
When I create a new document the default font is TIMES when I click on the type tool.  How do I change it to another font?

Answer
Ok, easy one. Launch InDesign but don't open any documents. Navigate to the Character palette and select the font you want as default. Now when you open documents or create new ones, your default font will be the one you selected. In fact, any setting you create while InDesign is open and no documents are open will become default settings.
