Subject: Exporting in InDesign

Question
Hi Roy,

I just put together a 33 page document (text and images), but when I Export to .pdf, InDesign unexpectedly quits and closes out.  Is there something I am doing wrong or is there any way to fix that?

Answer
Sorry for just now getting back to you.

It sounds to me like your file contains a bug. Not always an easy fix. However, the easiest way to fix the problem is to export the document as an InDesign Exchange document and then open that exported .indx document in InDesign. Then save that as a new InDesign document and try your PDF exporting process again. I'm not sure exactly WHY this fixes bugs, but I've seen it work numerous times.

Good luck!
