Adobe InDesign/Password protecting a JPG

Question
Hi,

I know how to password protect the editing of a PDF, but I'm not offered the
same menu when saving into jpg. How can I save a file in jpg and make sure
no one could edit it?

Thanks

Answer
Ian,

You can not password protect jpgs, but you can password protect a pdf. You place a jpg into ID and then export as a pdf. When you export, you will be given some PDF options. Click on the security tab and type in a password and choose none for changes allowed.

Now, no one will be able to edit the pdf, but they can see it.
