Our designer is working in CS3 on a document and when she tries to use the 'find' dialog, the focus bounces from the dialog to the text box underneath and types the characters in the document instead of the 'find' field. This is happening in several documents."

That is strange. Make sure you are running the latest version of ID (5.0.3) buy going under the help menu and choose check for update.

Also, are you going to find change by the keyboard shortcut or the menu. It shouldn't make a difference, but try both ways.

Does this effect every document, even brand new ones with hardly anything on them? Or just specific documents. If you have a document with this problem, does it replicate itself on another machine?
