Question
James:

i have many graphics for catalog which use not only greyscale and color but include black digram lines - they are 100% black - but indesign cs3 insists on 'screening' or halftoning even these - so all this looks fuzzy - please let me know if there is a setting.  i used pagemaker up till recently and never had this problem.  thanks - chris

Answer
Chris,

If you right click on an image you can choose display performance and choose high quality. This will show you the high res version of the picture. If the picture still looks bad, try printing it out to verify that the picture is the correct resolution.
