Adobe InDesign/email PageMaker file

QuestionQUESTION: I would like to be able to e-mail our church newsletter to the proofreaders instead of faxing it. At one time, I was able to do this with a free program I downloaded but lost when my computer crashed. Of course, I can't remember the name of it. When I try to export I am told to install a postscript printer?? Thank you for any help you can give.
ANSWER: If you're doing what I think you're doing:
save your file
then go to file
export
as .pdf
save it for screen
then you can email it ;)

QUESTION: I get a message that says "Exporting a PDF file requires a PostScript printer driver. Please install one."
ANSWER: I just looked at your subject line...this is Indesign that you're working in yes? If not, you might want to double check with someone who's an expert in Pagemaker. I used to use this program, but I haven't in a while.
if you're in Indesign, I've got two option:
go here and download:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=pdrv&platform=win
or (and what I would do):
reinstall Indesign. You should never have this problem unless you are on a way old machine...or pagemaker...

QUESTION: I just want to thank you for your help. When I selected your name from the list I thought everyone there used PageMaker. Now that I've looked at it again I see that only one person mentions PageMaker. I apologize.
FYI: I have PageMaker 7.0. My computer is 5 years old but I am reluctant to replace it because I'm told PageMaker does not work with Vista and I don't want to purchase/learn a new program for my volunteer work.
AnswerSadly,
If you are going to be doing communication work for your volunteering, I highly recommended you learn Indesign. Or Microsoft Publisher. If you know page maker, you pretty much know Indesign. The only reason I say that, is because no one - not printers especially - have pagemaker anymore.
good luck!
