QuestionI'm so intimidated about loading fonts for fear of screwing things up on my
Mac (OSx4). I need to load some fonts for a job - the icons have FFIL & LWFN

..well,I'm not sure what it came with. Anyway, I understood that I should
create a file for "my" fonts - if so, where should I keep it?
Thanks - so appreciative of you knowledgeable types sharing!
Answerthere's no reason to be intimated by them. Unlike PCs, fonts don't mess up on macs...unless you start screwing up your folders which is pretty hard to do. Use the font book that you got with the computer. I prefer a wonderful program called Linotype. It holds your fonts and previews them for you, and it's free. Just google it :).
this my fonts folder...is this just so you keep your fonts for later? You can keep that anywhere. It's just a folder.
Not being evil, but if you don't know what you are doing, don't mess with your fonts folder, they hide it for good reason :). Just double click the fonts and install, or go to your font book, choose file, install. If you start playing with them and you don't know what you're doing, you could screw things up. Again, it's hard to screw up a mac with your fonts, but if you're paranoid about it...it's best to just leave the folder alone.
