Adobe InDesign/Creating bleeding pages

Question
Hello I am unsure on how to make bleeding pages in InDesign. I have a short
title that I would like to extend across one spread and bleed off of the spread in
all directions. I would also like to create a cover with an image that bleeds off
the edge. How do I bleed images and text?

Answer
If you're working with a print shop, contact them to ask for minimum bleed settings.

In InDesign, go to Document Settings and set your bleeds to 0.25 inches (as a minimum). The bleed marks will show up as red guides in your document. Anything outside the page and within the bleeds will print so long as you set the bleed to print in the Print dialog box. Also be sure to include crop marks when printing.

hope this helps!
