I looked in the CS2 help files for info re: the Master Text Frame, but didn't understand the answer.  I created a document with the Master Text Frame option checked, but the text frame didn't appear on existing pages based on that master.  What's the point of the Master Text Frame?  It's got have some value, you'd think.  I also created a new document without the Master Text Frame option checked and then added a text frame to A-Master, but once again the frame didn't appear on existing or new pages based on that master.

I honestly have never used to the master page option so I checked it out...and I'm still not sure what the point is. After doing a little googling it seems that it's not a good option if you want to have different things on each page. So, in my opinion, just don't check the box and use master page.
