Question
Hi, I have a problem, I have to design an annual report with A4 layouts contents (double sided print) as well as some a3 layouts for maps/plans (one sided a3 print) in one chapter/file. Is it possible? i mean so that when i print (xerox laser printer), it will print them automatically a4 and a3.. If its possible to have both layout in one indesign file, how do i set it up?

Answer
By default it's not possible. If you REALLY need this functionality a lot, consider buying this plug-in: http://www.dtptools.com/product.asp?id=pcid

Alternatively, you could create separate documents for each page size and then set them upas a Book file.

You'll then be able to print the book document. The key will be page numbering. You must number your pages according to the order you want them to print. Personally, I'd generate a PDF first and then try to print the PDF. It might be easier to manage.

Good luck!
