Hi, We have multiple instances of random empty text boxes when opening customer ID CS4 documents. All fonts load and appear normal in find font menu box. Empty font boxes random. Similar text boxes with same font/size/color work fine, even on the same page. So far, a costly rework and disgruntled customers for the instances we did not see before proofing. Font manager is "Font Agent Pro" in use here for over 3 years, few problems. All machines latest and greatest. No unusual updates or telltale font issues to point in the direction of an answer. We have never experienced this problem before two weeks ago..4 workstations cranking out printing prepress 2 shifts a day. Help!

Hi Thomas,

We had similar issues a few years ago and it turned out to be a corrupt font.
I keep a minimum of fonts loaded on my system (see list) these plus Helvetica, which I manage through our Font Management software, Linotype FontExplorer X.
Make sure to remove the Adobe fonts which are in the application folders and sometimes conflict with fonts provided with jobs. Try to pinpoint what fonts are in use when the error occurs and swap them out with clean copies from original system or application discs.
