Question
QUESTION: sir,i have doubt while we are placing the word document in to indesign which has totally 20 page word document. But my need is while placing from 10th page only the content has to be flown to my indesign document. Is there any option  for choosing the content page from word document while placing text content in indesign

ANSWER: Shree,

I am sorry, but there is no way to specify which page of a word doc you would like to bring in when you place it into InDesign. I would recommend that you open the word file in word, and delete everything out that you do no want to keep and then place that file into InDesign.

It is a great feature request, but at this time this is the only work around.

Sorry

QUESTION: Thanks for your early response.i have some more doubts in indesign how to use a button tool in indesign and how to make an existing object as button.Kindly answer.

Answer
Hi Shee,

THe button tool in CS3 is poorly implemented. CS4 completely redesigned the interface for dealing with buttons. If creating interactive PDFs with buttons is a common problem for you, I would look into upgrading.

Regardless, to convert an existing object to a button, select it and go to object menu > interactive > convert to button. I rarely use the actual button tool and in CS4 it was removed.
