Question
Using InDesign CS3: Missing fonts - Dom Casual Medium, Brush Script Std Bold Italic, ITC Garamound Book condensed, Helvetica Bold, Hobo Std italic, Times Bold and Times.Where are they and how to install?

Answer
Hi Richard,

The fonts need to be loaded on your machine, before Indesign can use or print with them. A font manager such as Linotype Fontexplorer (free from Linotype) can easily be used for this.

You may also load the fonts directly into your system fonts folder, however this can lead to some pretty sticky situations and I personally do not recommend this.

The fonts you are needing should have been supplied to you by whomever gave you the file. Fonts are licensed, but are allowed to be transferred for purpose of printing the files, meaning you can use them for this job but not others, for that you would need to purchase them from a type foundry such as Adobe or Linotype for example.

Thanks,

Ken Black
