Adobe InDesign/Logo Design

Question
I created a logo in InDesign. It has 4 imported graphics that have gradients and
I'm worried if the logo is enlarged, it will lose resolution. Is an InDesign file a
vector file? Also the printer wanted it to be an Illustrator working file. Would I
have to recreate it in Illustrator so that they have a working file? Obviously I'm a
little green when it comes to finale printing - any help would be appreciated.

Answer
Whatever was created in Indesign itself (not photoshop to indesign), it's vector. If it's from photoshop, it's not. Like Photoshop, you can't make the image any bigger than it originally was without having problems.

ya...if the printer wants it in Illustator, you'll need to redo it. Before you do, ask to see if you can give him an .eps. In order to make your work an .eps, go to file, export and choose eps from the menu.

And next time, do it in illustrator :). Indesign is a layout program...not a vector design program.
