Adobe InDesign/bleeds for Circles

Question
I am creating a round sticker in InDesign that needs bleed marks.  I know how to do it in the document settings, but that is for squares/rectangles.  What do you with circles and odd shapes?

Answer
Hi Stacy,

For round stickers, they'll need to be die cut or printed on pre-die cut label stock. If you're creating a 3" circle I would put it on a 3" square page and set the bleeds normally. You can also create a 3" circle, with a 5. pt stroke and color it with a spot color named dieline. Put the dieline on it's own layer and turn it off when submitting to your printer, but leave it on for your own printouts to show the position of the circle die.
Having the circle also give you a guide to creating artwork that bleeds.

Hope this helps,
