Adobe InDesign/Excel chart into InDesign

QuestionI am trying to insert a chart from Excel into InDesign However, I do not want it to have any gridlines. I have tried to change the gridline color and remove them in excel. I tried removing them in excel and creating a pdf but they still appear when I place the chart in ID. I was wondering if you have any tips for how to get the chart from excel into ID without the gridlines.
AnswerI will admit that I'm not a complete expert when it comes to excel and indesign, but usually, if you can get it to export right, then should be able to turn them off in Indesign.
i think your are doing this, but just export the file as an excel, not a pdf or anything special
click on your graph with the arrow tool
then click on it with you typing tool, as if you were going to write.
highlight the line
drop the color as you would a line
that should do it. the thing with tables is that the entire table is texted based...I don't know why.
