Question
Hi!

I have to mass replace all 'a' char to an object (it's an example).
How can i do it without using lots of copy/paste?

Thx for fast answers

Answer
Hi Liptak,

If you are using Indesign CS 3 or CS 4, you should be able to use Find/Change (Edit -> Find/Change).

First place an instance of the object you are using and then copy it to your clipboard.

Next, in the Find/Change dialog, put the character you want to replace in the Find section, and in the Replace section, click the option arrow then choose Other -> Clipboard information.

Then click find and change or change all.

Unfortunately, Indesign v1-3, Indesign CS and Indesign CS 2 all lack this functionality.

Thanks,

Ken Black
