Question
I am running Mac OS X 10.4.11 and InDesign CS2 v.4.0.5. Where should I put
my fonts so that they'll show up in my font list in InDesign. And how do I
take out all the foreign fonts?

Thanks
David

Answer
David,

On the mac, you should use fontbook. Go to your applications folder > fontbook. You can use fontbook to install more fonts onto your computer. Keep in mind it is not a good idea to install too many fonts. If you are going to use more than a few 100 it is recommended that you purchase a font management program like suitecase or fontexplorer.

In regards to removing foreign fonts. Be care and don't remove all of the fonts that you don't like. Some fonts are required for the operating system. Here is a link that tells you what fonts are ok to remove and which fonts are not.
