Adobe InDesign/Adding pages

Question
When I want to insert a single page in a book, I always end up adding the page as a third one across on the Pages master rather than reshuffling the pages and simply inserting the page in order (e.g., adding a blank page 33 after 32). The Pages panel would seem to let me add a single page, but it always adds the single to the double spread and I end up with three pages in a row.  I'm inserting photographs in a new edition of a 1980 book, so pagination changes.  Either that or a single page appears all by itself rather as one of a two-page spread. (You can tell I'm a novice here.)
Thanks for your help. You really helped with my previous question!

Answer
Hi Linda,

If you go to File>Document Setup and uncheck "Facing Pages" the page list should revert to all single pages. You can then drag a blank page down to the right of page 32 until a vertical black line appears to the right of pg 32 and the new page will drop into the pg 33 slot.

Hope this helps,
