Adobe InDesign/Importation of graphs and charts from Excel

Question
Hi.

I am working in Indesign cs3 and I write to ask if it is possible to import graphs and charts from Excel and place them in Indesign.

If not possible, how best can I achieve the import process.

Answer
yes you can import the charts and graphs, but they will come in RGB and may not be the best quality.

If you want to import the charts, go to file > place and select your excel file with the charts. Now before you click OK, hold down the shift key, then press OK. When you do this the import options dialog will pop up and you can choose to include images. Now your images of your charts will come in.

Another way around this would be to export the graphic of the chart from excel, then open it in photoshop and convert it to CMYK before you place it inside InDesign.
