Mr. Fritz,

We are publishers of free niche auto and real estate magazines.  They are similar to the racked free auto mart and real estate publications in your area.  We are wanting to export the picture and description to make a CSV file for internet broadcasting.  In-house we tag the items and can make an export.  Unfortunately, some of our customers send us live files that are not tagged.  We are searching for an automated solution to export pre-existing InDesign files without having to manually redesign the ads with tags.  Your thoughts are appreciated.

Example:  A dealership has a page with 12 photos and descriptions in 12 fields.  We are wanting the data to be extracted to relist to a website like Cars.com.

I believe the answer to your problem lies with InDesign Server. Try contacting Adobe directly and talk to them about your problem. They have multiple solutions. You might be able to purchase a pre-developed solution that will work out of the box for you, or you might have to customize an existing solution to make it your own.

Regardless, you will want to look into the possibilities of InDesign Server for your needs.
