Adobe InDesign/page numbering

Question
This is my 3rd book layout I have done. I am working in Adobe Indesign CS2. I am using styles and master pages. The problem I have is my numbering of pages. I have never had this problem before. My first page of each chapter says 1, but after that all the spreads say "A" where the page number should be. I go to layout/numbering and sections options. Can you please tell me which boxes to check or uncheck to get my pages to number instead of just saying "A"?

Answer
Hi Vi,

In the Page Numbering section of the Numbering and Sections options, change the style drop down to numbers. It should look like this - 1,2,3,4…

Also, go to your master pages and be sure that your page number place holder is not just a typed letter A, but is the inserted Auto page number character. You can change it by selecting the text and choosing Auto page number under the Type menu, in the Insert special character menu.

Thanks,
