Adobe InDesign/PDF export

Question
I am creating an electronic brochure that I am trying to export to .pdf. I have both original .png files the user supplied me and .png files that I have "snipped" from the user's website. I have ensured that they are all 72 dpi. When I look at the Indesign pages the the pictures all have clean, bright colors but when I export to pdf the pics I snipped from the website are all washed out. When I create a dummy page with just the snipped pictures on it and export it the colors are fine. Can you tell me what is going on? Thanks,
Peter

Answer
Peter,

When you export a PDF you should check your export settings to ensure that your images are not being converted to CMYK (which would be the cause of your color shift).

In the export settings dialog box go to the output option on the left side and check to make sure that "no color conversion" is happening.
