Hi, I was asked to set a 3 mm bleed for my document. I did it and I don't know what went wrong. The bleed is set for all sides. You can see my document at the above address. Should I extend my working area until the bleeds lines? Can you help me? Thanks
ANSWER: Hi Mihaela,
Once you set the Bleeds in Document setup, InDesign will put red guides outside the page to indicate where the bleeds should extend to. Make sure any images or graphics that bleed extend off the page to the bleed guides.
If you don't see the red guides go to View>Grids & Guides and click on Show Guides.
Hope this helps,

Hi, I did what you said but I still have a problem. You can see my new document at the above address. The crop mark position is right but seems the bleed is not belong to the image. The bleed of 1 is belong to 2 and the bleed of 2 is belong to 1. Can you help? Thanks
Mihaela
AnswerHi Mihaela,
The bleeds look fine on your latest sample, what you are seeing is the crossovers at the spine. If your book is to be saddle stitched then this won't matter.
If you are going to print single pages and bind them another way you may need to switch your document to single page mode by unchecking Facing Pages in Document Setup.
Hope this helps,
