Adobe InDesign/corrupt text linked to file

Question
Hi. I have an InDesign project that is being updated from last year. It was originally done in CS3. It has a part of a Word file that isn't used in the doc, but is at the end of a portion of the Word file that is used in the doc, that won't let me delete it. If I try to delete it, CS3 crashes. The document won't even open in CS4 - crashes immediately. I'm pretty sure that part of the problem is a corrupt hyperlink in that text. I was able to work around it last year by ignoring the overset text notice, but this year, I really need to get rid of the problem. What can you suggest? Thank you!

Answer
Try exporting the InDesign file (file export, choose inx) as an INX (InDesign interchange file) and reopen it inside InDesign.

Then try to delete the last part of the text.

You should also run your Adobe updaters (under the help menu) to make sure that your version of ID is up to date.
