QUESTION: Hi Ken,

I have a lot of pdf files with a yellow background. I remove yellow layer by content panel. I delete XObject Image form content panel and my pages turned into white form yellow. But i have to do it one by one. Is there any way to remove specific XObject image from complete document.I am sending you a image file for example. I want to delete all XObject Image at a time from my document.
thanks

ANSWER: Hi Dhananjay,

Unfortunately, without using a third party plug-in such as Pitstop, you will have to delete each one manually. You might expedite this by expanding the contents of each page and then control clicking to select multiple XObjects and then delete.

QUESTION: Hi Ken,

Thanks for valuable information. I am using pitstop 6.5. How can it help me? Please give me brief idea.

Thanks
Dhananjay

Answer
Use the Pitstop selection tool to select the object, with the object selected open the Global Change palette and select the Color tab.

Click the Grab Fill button in the From section and then in the To section choose CMYK and set all the values to 0. You can save this in the repository for using on other documents if you need to, by clicking save and giving the color a name.

Change the "Apply to" menu to Complete Document and then click Apply.

This will change all the objects with that color to white.

-- CAUTION !!!! --

If there are any other objects with this same color, for example text, it will all become white as well.

Pitstop is a fairly powerful tool, it is possible to create a script or as it's called in Pitstop an Action List, that can select the desired xObjects based on certain criteria, and then apply your color fix or even delete it entirely.

Thanks,
