Question
when InDesign starts up a I get a warning that some color management files are missing and to re-install which I did only to get the same message. I am unable to use the program because of this. Where can I get the file and where do I install it at

Answer
Hi Tim,

Apparently this problem plagues Windows users and Adobe knows about it, or at least had to deal with it enough that they have a solution here:

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/327/327113.html

Of course the first suggestion is to upgrade to CS 2 (the are currently up to CS 5).

The second suggestion might just do the trick. It does involve editing the registry of your computer, but they do offer step by instruction to perform this delicate task.

It is highly recommended that you back up the registry before you attempt to edit it, since it can potentially be dangerous and leave your system down if the wrong things are messed with.

Let me know how you made out.
