Question
I am very new to ID, I have CS4 PC,  I cant figure out how to make my text a color,  just want to make certain words or sentences in red. used to use quarkxpress & it was really easy. would need easy instructions as I am very new to this.

Hi June!

Sure, this is an easy one. First, make sure your swatches palette is open. If you don't see it, go to Window > Swatches. You'll see that the software offers a handful of default swatches. You can create new swatches by clicking on the "New Swatch" button at the bottom of the palette. To change the color of text:

1. Highlight the text you want to change to another color.
2. Click on the swatch color you want to change the text color to.

Done!
