Adobe InDesign/master page numbers question

Question
hello there, i've set up my page numbers on the master, on a top layer. however, is there a way i can set the numbers to automatically change colour to contrast with any full bleed images that might appear under them? is there an affect that could do this? i only really need the numbers to vary between black and white...

Answer
Hi Boris,

Try applying a "Screen" transparency blend effect to the page number boxes on the Master Pages. This will make the type turn white when color images are placed behind the type. If you're using black & white images, this will not work.

Good luck!
