Question
QUESTION: I have tried all version of InDesign since CS3 but to no avail. In a document like annual report which has lots of tables, how should we work around InDesign's irritating behaviour of not converting tables to outlines?

ANSWER: Hi Absar,

In InDesign select the table and go to Table>Convert Table to Text.

Hope this helps,

QUESTION: Thanks Glen,
Sorry, my question was not very clear, I guess. Actually, I meant to ask that when we have tables in an InDesign file and convert them to outlines, only text converts to outlines and table strokes simply disappear. Not just that but it also leaves an extra copy of the same table underneath the outlined text. For now I don't mind selecting and deleting extra copy of table but how can we get those table strokes turned into outlines?
Regards

Answer
Hi Absar,

Here is a link to a tutorial on converting text to outlines in an InDesign document and not losing formatting, it should work with tables as well.
